It was a decidedly lazy day for me today--catching up on e-mail, sorting through recordings, playing guitar, reading and wandering around Station, taking a few photographs. The wind blew white caps ashore and, in the afternoon a pod of humpbacks came into Arthur Harbor. Boats were launched and many on Station enjoyed an afternoon of whale watching--right in our own frontyard.

Around town...

View of the galley and biology lab from the pier.

Zodiacs moored in front of the boathouse.

Walkway to the galley and biology lab. For about half the Station, this is the main commute to work. The walkways are designed to be above drifting snow, which was considerable when I first arrived.

Walkways heading past the sauna to the GWR building.
