Tracy, Rob and I returned to the fish hut to see the results of the experiment. As she had thought, the starfish population was rather thin and some of the urchins had wandered off. She would repeat it out at Little Razorback in shallower waters and we agreed to meet on Tuesday morning to head out to the site. They planned to set me up for several days to try and record Weddell seals and then would return on Friday to set up a sea urchin shoot. I spent the rest of the day preparing for my week out at the seal camp and running errands around MacTown--including picking up a nice bottle of Irish whiskey to share with the sealheads! It takes nearly half a day to get one's gear in order for a trip; so, I was resigned to careful, meaningful preparation.
